About us
Our History
Scott Pape and Elliott Kappers, two students at Southlake Christian Academy in 2024, humorously joked about this idea; however, what started as a silly way to celebrate prom became a call to service. Hearing a devastating story from their teacher of a friend with muscular dystrophy who, despite his challenges, radiated joy and lived his life to the fullest before dying at the age of twenty-two, sparked them to action.

His courage moved them. They couldn’t just sit around, so they got on their feet. Inspired by the strength of this young man, they founded the First Annual Southlake Prom-A-thon to raise money for the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. They worked with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to raise money for the fight against the disease, and they fundraised within their school and hosted a race to raise awareness. We are those students. We made this project our passion, and we now work to help young leaders with the same passion live out their service visions.
What began as a fundraiser race has evolved into a rapidly growing organization that gives students what we wish we’d had: advisory tools, fundraising support, and motivation to pursue service projects. We inspire other young leaders to take hold of their destiny in the same way we did, while creating a low-risk method for students to serve. We turn service dreams into reality.

Our model is unique: students keep 100% of their gains, and we refuse to take a cut of generated funds. With support from 10 runners, multiple volunteers, three local businesses, and recognition by Queen City News, we’ve generated $7500 for charity over the past two years. More importantly, we’ve taught over ten different students how to turn their ideas into action and achieve fundraising goals.

We are Prom-A-Thon, and we are here to help you serve. With our no-cost services, we will advise you, support you, and guide you through the world of fundraising. Let us make your ideas a reality the same way we did with ours.

Our mission
We're on a mission to change the way the youth see fundraising. Rather than giving our clients a set list of tasks to do for a specific cause, we let you decide. Pick your mission, your goal, and tell us your situation, and we will adapt to you. Our goal is to help you live out your fundraising dreams.
Our vision
We want to live in a world where service is second-hand. No one should face resistance to service. We want to remove those barriers, so ambitious leaders can do what others need them to do for them. We want to lay the groundwork so that you can build on it.
Our team
Our strength lies in our individuality. Our team strives to bring in the best talent in various fields.
